Who's Controlling Your Mind?

We have many unusual challenges in our world today, so I decided to write something fun. Recently I got a new puppy. While training Sadie, I noticed that it’s much like teaching my clients. You’ll soon see why I say this.

When choosing a puppy, it’s essential to choose a breed that is a great companion. In other words, Sadie fits my target market perfectly because she is willing to develop a heart-based bond of trust, except for her puppy biting. We’re working on that.

Sadie is dependent on me to teach and guide her on her journey. The same holds true when creating your business relationships. You’re looking for that same type of bond with your clients, so they’ll feel comfortable with your program guide. You already know the importance of building trust.

Naming Your Program
Naming your program isn’t always easy. Before I named Sadie, I realized that, like the programs I sell, her name needed to be something she would come running to.

The same challenge occurs when naming your programs. Think carefully about a name that relates well to your clients’ needs. If you choose the right name, your clients will come running just like Sadie does.

Here’s how…

Make the title meaningful by including the most essential benefit you offer your clients. Use a keyword and add an ‘ing’ to put your title into action.

Example: The title of my book is Selling Through Your Heart, Empowering You To Build Relationships For Financial Freedom. My keywords are selling, relationships, and financial freedom.

Achieving client goals
Sadie loves treats, and I bet you do too. In this case, the treats are the benefits your clients receive within your modules. When creating a program, your modules must include the pertinent steps necessary to reach your clients’ intended objectives.

Teaching step-by-step
The key to teaching a great program is patience and simple logic. You must have the ability to break down complex ideas into simple terms. This enables your clients to understand your conceptual framework and efficiently apply the concepts.

Never give up!
As a puppy, Sadie is new to the world, and it takes time for her to formulate what I’m asking and put it into action. Your clients are new to your ideas and how to implement them. Be patient and consistent. Remember, they will eventually get it even if they don’t get it the first time.

Accolades are the secret
Your clients want to be correct, and praise supports them in moving forward. Praise provides a positive learning environment. Sadie thrives on encouragement and praise. Don’t you?

Sensitivity to client needs.
If your clients have difficulty grasping the concepts in your program, add a spontaneous workshop into the mix. Spending four or more hours with your group assists you in identifying and solving the hurdles that challenge them. A heart-based coach takes their clients by the hand and guides them over the stumbling blocks. No one gets left behind.

Never-end on a negative note.
The primary goal of your program is to create ecstatic winners. It’s the same for little Sadie. She must win, or she’ll give up. Let your clients win so they stick with you until they succeed fully. Give them ‘air high-fives’ and get excited when they make an effort to accomplish your program goals.
