You’ve got to think about the big things while you’re doing the
small things in business, so that all the small things fit like a puzzle into the big picture.
Some say that being successful means having a balance of success stories across all areas of our lives including our business. We’re told that balance in our lives is important, however there are times when the temptation to act according to the expectations of others sets in. This is a time when I focus inward to find the wisdom and ask for guidance to decide which choices are right for me. All I need to ask is, “What is right for me?”
Focusing inward for guidance…
Focusing inward doesn’t take much time and the more practiced we become the shorter the time it takes to get the answers that will increase our business and enhance our lives. Zeroing in and listening closely to inner guidance gives us the answer to which path we should be following.
A story to illustrate my point…
For the majority of my life I’ve lived by the signs I read and the messages I receive from the universe I call Spirit. When I hear the same message 3 times, from 3 different sources, I’m enlightened enough to know they are meant to guide me toward the next step in my life. This guidance has proven to be impeccable and without it I wouldn’t be where I am today.
In January 2015 I was living in Northern California surrounded by a loving, supportive community of successful entrepreneurial women. In March 2015, during my early morning meditation, a clear message crept into my mind from spirit. “You will be moving to San Diego in November of this year.” it said. Immediately I resisted the request and pretended like I didn’t even hear it. I literally put it out of my mind.

There was no question that moving to a place where no one knew me and I knew no one, except my son’s family, would considerably increase the stress in my life and impact my income. I was in the middle of supporting my financial business clients, teaching my Celebrity Guest Expert TV Training Classes, writing my Compel Don’t Sell 12 week course and kicking off the celebration of the #UltimateSummit2016 which had been in development for 9 months. The stress of a move, on top of all my projects, was unthinkable. I was literally being asked to give up the known and move into an unknown world.
It wasn’t long after that when Barbara Wainwright and I were recording a TV segment at an LA media center for my TV show, Maximize Your Wealth Now. Her friend Helice ‘Sparky’ Bridges was along for the ride so we decided to have lunch together before I left for the long drive up north.
As we chatted over sushi it wasn’t long before Helice confirmed the message previously received from Spirit during my meditation. I had said nothing about the move and her comment came out of the clear blue.
“You’ll be moving to San Diego in November.” She said.
“I’ve heard that but I don’t know anyone here.”
“Yes you do. You know everyone because the transformational leaders are here.”
In that moment I knew that I’d be moving. A comment so blatant told me that there would be no more resistance and I’d better prepare for a major change in my life. Now I was compelled to think big, trust in the universe with each small step, just like I did with the 900 pound tiger, and it all began with a small thought from spirit that was verified by two people I highly respect.
As the months wore on and November grew closer my community tried to convince me that I didn’t have to go to San Diego and that I shouldn’t be required to make such a big change in my life. Many expressed the same sentiment but as I focused inward for that small bit of wisdom there was a clear direction that the move was immanent and I had no idea why.
As it turned out spirit did know best. Through the benefit of media I’m able to maintain my Northern California friendships while making many new friends in the south. Following guidance has furthered my career and provided a new closeness with my 2 young grandsons while balancing my life between work and play.
This guidance brought me to a new place where I can live close to the ocean while hosting and producing Maximize Your Wealth Now TV with Barbara Wainwright.
When you’re compelled to think big “chunk the big picture up” into small detailed bites and look within for the wisdom while asking for the guidance that will carry you into your vision.

Trust the universe, avoid resistance and take the risk while stepping into the unknown.
